  1. We need to take God's name seriously. (Exodus 20:7)
  2. A name represents: character, reputation and authority.
  3. Small people require powerful negative words to feel good about themselves.
  4. It takes maturity to discipline our mouths.
  5. Don't use God's name to intimidate others. (Leviticus 19:12)
  6. God is impressed by our lifestyle not our words. (Titus 1:16)
  7. We misuse God's name when we claim to be committed to Him and our lives show no fruit. (Isaiah 29:13 and Leviticus 24:13-16)
  8. There is power in the name of Jesus, so don't misuse it. (Psalm 29:2)
  9. Whatever goes into our minds ultimately comes out in our lifestyle.
  10. The way to get to know God is to get to know His name. (Psalm 9:10 and 61:5)
  11. Our lifestyles can misrepresent God's name.  Our walk needs to match our talk.
  12. Rely on God completely. (Psalm 33:21)
  13. When we are under pressure from the world, what we have in our hearts will come out of our mouths.
